__Extra Help:__I offer extra help to students needing help with concepts being covered. My extra help days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00-3:30pm. Students may come as needed! There may be occasional times that extra help will need to be cancelled for a day. I will let the students know this in advance and post it on my board in class. It will be the student's responsibility to know changes in the schedule.

__How To Earn Your Prize Coupons:__

*Answer 2,000 problems by the end of the semester and go to the PIZZA PARTY!

__ANNOUNCEMENTS__**Use the links on the left side of this page under "Homework" for each grade's upcoming test schedule and nightly homework!**

*
*Add all tests/projects together and divide by the total number given. (This will give you a test average.) Test/Lab Average is then multiplied by .65 (if the teacher does not give quizzes, then the test/project category will be worth 70% of the grade and then therefore would multiply by 0.7 instead of 0.65). **You must add the total points the student earned and then add the total points possible. Then take the total points earned and divide that by the total points possible. This will give you the test/project average. You __cannot__ divide each individual test to get a percentage. Mathematically this will not work.**

Ex:

**Test 1: 84 points out of a possible 100 points**

**Test 2: 96 points out of a possible 100 points**

**Lab 1: 18 points out of a possible 20 points****Project 1: 43 points out of a possible 50 points**

**Add what the student earned 84+96+18+43 = 241**

**Add the total possible points 100+100+20+50 = 270**

**Now divide 241 ÷ 270 = 0.89259259**

**Now multiply by 100 to get the percentage =89.2592593 which will be rounded to 89.3**

**test/project average = 89.3 x 0.65 = 58.045**

**Add all quizzes together and divide by the total number given (the same way as explained above in the example for the test category). This will give you a quiz average. The quiz average is then multiplied by .05.****Ex: quiz average is 90 x 0.05 = 4.5**

**Multiply the exam grade by .25.****Ex. exam grade = 91 x 0.25 = 22.75**

*Homework and Participation grade will be multiplied by .05. If there are multiple homework grades, you will compute them the same way as explained above in the test category. *

**Ex. homework/participation average = 98 x 0.05 = 4.9**

**Add all totals together. 58.045 + 4.5 + 22.75 + 4.9 = 90.195. Therefore the student receives a 90B as his/her report card grade.**
